Wilton is US based so their recipes need to be converted. And though converting might seem like a simple task, its not quite the case. 1 cup (US) can = 125 gram if its flour, or 226.9 g if its butter, so there you go =P
The taste was super orange-gy....thanks to my generousity in adding freshly squeeze orange juice and orange rind =)
Here's the recipe:
- 227 gram butter
- 227 gram castor sugar (i reduced this significantly, as always)
- 1 egg yolk
- 250 gram all purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon orange rind (or more if you want..but not too much, might cause ur cookies to taste bitter)
- 2 tablespoons of orange juice (squeezed and filtered)
Method:
- Cream butter and sugar till light and fluffy
- add in egg yolk and orange juice
- add flour gradually
- add orange rind last...and you can add nuts of your choice as well
- choc rice is optional, or you can topped it with anything else you might have in your fridge
