unplugged

Now, more than ever
it pierces right through the soul

As the mind battles over the heart
Its a blood bath

The heart struggles to beat
as life support is unplugged

It beats, frantically, as it fights for that one last breath
the one last chance to attain life

Then it stops, abrupt but definite
it has given up, stopped fighting

And in the stillness, one waits
for the possibility of revival
the slightest hint of a heart beat

As i insist to push the boundaries of reality
and to gear on with perseverance

I hear the faintest heartbeat from a far
and it beats, hesitantly at first, but its rhythm and pace picks up
as truth, hope, love and faith prevails
