Forgiveness of Sins

Blame city life if you must, of our lagging-ness in posting up Bible Study reflections. And its already our second last session (believe it or not?). Anyway this post can't really be considered a reflection per se, since the study is not till this weekend. Perhaps in essence this post is my reflection of how God knows and speaks in a very timely manner.

Was just listening to the Apostle's Creed audio awhile ago..and it ended with the song..Nothing but the blood of Jesus, the speaker read the lyrics out. Incidentally, the song is also chosen for Sunday service this week. Oh, plus today's daily bread is about sins and how god can cleansed us of our sins too!

But perhaps what struck me the most was more "forgiveness" than sin, its a struggle for many, we just choose to deny it at times. But truly its no easy task, extending a hand of friendship to some who have scarred you so deeply or betrayed your trust and perhaps changed your entire world view of stuff in general. Yet as we look at our own lives and how JC accepts us for who we are and forgives us our sins, our hearts are moved to do likewise unto others.

Another interesting note about sin, and this was so be spoiling it for those who haven't listen to the audio..stop reading here~! It was sort of like a wake up call, how the speaker described sins of commission and omission. Commission is in essence stuff you do, steal, kill, covet, etc..which typically is more apparent to others. Omission on the other hand, are things we are called to do..and yet never..e.g. honour your parents, share the gospel...and when you think bout it, its slightly freaky cause...that means even if you are doing absolutely NOTHING, you can be committing a sin! So there you go...I guess this is why its always good to constantly read the word of god and dig deeper..and to always be reminded of what should be priorities in our life..
