Friends & Strangers

Last night, met up with some friends from Adelaide at Delicious, and the strangers..they were friends of my friends. Its weird how, studying in OZ, is the only common factor we all need to hang out together. That was about all we had in common, besides the ones that we knew back in Adelaide..those were the good old days. I am still hesitant to pay a visit down under, perhaps when enough time have passed i will.

The totally random highway picture was the view from my window last night...even highways have a certain way of looking all peaceful when its empty, don't you think? Will be off for the weekend, sleepover in church followed by a day trip to Sg Chongkak, this will be my 3rd time there in 2 years, i think i should really try going to some other forest reserve/river the next time around. Can't believe i am old enough to be chaperoning instead of being chaperoned...still its a lot of responsibility...looking after a bunch of teenagers..

The trip to Sg Chongkak will certainly bring back bitter sweet memories..pamelos, radio hanging from the tent top, the sound of raindrops against the tent, being bitten by leeches, the river rapids against my back, the scent of His magnificent creation at dawn, and .....

In contrast to last night, i will be snuggled into my sleeping bag tonight...(meanwhile, will be dreaming of this - see below - my comfy bed)
