An Inconvenient truth by Al Gore

Not too long ago, there was a sermon preached on Global Warming @ CDPC, unfortunately, i missed most of that sermon, nonetheless, the church initiative in creating awareness reflects that the battle against global warming is no longer a political strategy to pull votes, nor is it a fancy idea of environmentalist of scientist we deem paranoid.

Me & Nam went for the movie screening organized by "Captain Planet & The Planeteers" & United Nations club", and here's what she had to say about it. (Don't you just love it when your friends go to same events and write a really comprehensive post on it, and all you have to do is create a LINK)

If anything, I have to conclude, seeing is believing. Perhaps i and the other 99% of the population acknowledge global warming is happening, but are ignorant about it's extend/seriousness, and it was definitely an eye opener. And like Nam says 'unless you live in a cave, you should have heard of this movie' even if you haven't seen it.

It's the kind of movie that makes you stop and think, where the world will be in the next 50 years. My favourite parts are the Simpson clips, and also when they used a frog animation to illustrate how we are like that adorable froggy sitting in a pot of water on the stove, unaware that the water is heating up, till it starts to boils!

However, its perhaps not a movie everyone would enjoy, "Some people" just walked out half way, i personally find that downright rude considering the effort the organizers have put in. Of course if they have classes to attend and had to leave half way, i am totally forgiving, though i seriously doubt so.
