if my life were broken...

...let it be, that the many pieces, will bless the multitudes.

The parable of the 5 loaves and 2 fishes, have been told and re-told in countless occasions, but this has to be one of the finest. The analogy of how a whole life/heart, like a whole loaf, can only feed but a single lad, yet broken, feed the multitudes.

Individuals cry out in vain, like the title of the book by David Biebel - "If God is So good, why do I hurt so bad?" and in response others would say, well, there is a purpose for it all, and what not..
but i guess i prefer how its illustrated with the story of the 5 loafs and 2 fishes.

So take my brokenness and make them blessings
The scars that marked the past, stories for the future
Transform every tear shed to a fountain overflowing with love to those around me

Nick: thought i told you last night, the quote is like a paraphrase from Elisabeth Elliot's Passion & Purity =)but it's not by her, she was quoting Ruth Stull from Peru. (Speaking of which, i realize your blog title is a title of the chapter from the book)
