What can you learn from chic lit?

From the author of Devil wears Prada...Chasing Harry Winston..whilst i spent my MPH vouchers on Jodi Picoult's books...Nam spend hers on this..in which i unwrapped for her and finished reading before her =P

Chic lit are good reading material, after you have read one too many psych journals...though i frankly wouldn't recommend that it be your only reading material, because if you haven't already discovered, its content are mostly unrealistic, though some parts of it are through..though this is debatable..its just like movies, at times, its like a chicken-egg situation, e.g. did it happen in real life so they made it into a movie? or people have seen it done in movie so many times they are doing it?

So what good can possibly come out of reading chic lit..besides learning a few more impressive phrases or vocabulary..while pondering on this, i thought to myself what is the equivalent of chic lit for the male community? computer games? (since they do what chic lit does too right? you get immersed in this other fantasy-like world? or is there erm...hunk-lit?)

Then again there is 2 kinds of chic lit..those that makes sense, and those that doesn't..

But sometimes...after reading the newspaper, the blogs, the journals, the textbooks, etc...reading some Chic lit/Woman's magazines helps clears the mind. There are not entirely "nonsense", you do learn a good stuff or two......wow..this post is so leading no where..hahaha..i thought i had a big ending..but i don't! So you've followed this post till here, you might be utterly dissapointed..i just can't figure how to express the fact, that to my surprise..i did learn a stuff or two..

On another note, i realize how its almost utterly impossible, as much as i like to physically catalouged everything you want to in life..like the many places i've been, or eaten at, or movies i've watched, or wonderful memories, i guess thats how life teaches us how to make choices and to prioritize. Then again, it highlights how the brain is the most amazing creation of god, because even though its impossible to physically record every single thing down...it all fits nicely in a "storage" that follows us each day.
