Empress Cafe @ The Curve, Damansara Perdana

Empress Cafe is located directly opposite Italiannies, this would be the best direction one could give since Italiannies is obviously famous (mostly because of laundry bar) anyway, back to Empress Cafe, me & WL couldn't even agree what it was called, prior to dining there, both thought it was "Palace .../ ... Palace", we obviously thought it was a Chinesy place, which was absolutely NOT true..

Menu wise, it is mainly Western with a small selection of local/Asian delights, which all 4 us ordered from. We had, Fried Prawn Rice (WL & Veron kindly counted and informed us they were very generous with the prawns and each serving had more than >10 OK size prawns), Spicy Beef Fried Rice (i thought that the beef was mince way too much, taste wise, not great but good), Chicken Chop (looked like a oriental style one, though there were chips involved, therefore i am classifying under Asian delights), and what WL junior deems most exotic of the lot, Balinese Beef Rice (served with some pineapple salad, rice, see below).

There is certainly space for improvement in terms of decor, appears to me that, the owner can't quite decide on the theme or atmosphere he/she wants, there are many pretty looking things, but just simply not along the same theme, antics, musical instruments, modern looking lights which looked like they came from IKEA, and yea, a bunch of other stuff.

Price, RM10-RM30 (Asian/local food); Pizza, pasta, steak, etc (TGIF sorta pricing).Specialty, you must be thinking, have to be the Balinese Beef Rice, but in my opinion its the Sambal! Its really tasty...there is like tomatoes, and a mixture of chillies, it was so good you could eat it on its own!

Overall, a nice hang out place, if you intend to have a quiet night out with your friends to catch up :)
