Changes

Humans seems to be predetermined to despise changes
(i shall not go into the psychological concepts behind this)
we prefer to seat in the same seats in lecture halls,
church pews or even on our own dining table

Changes, nonetheless are inevitable,
it comes a time, when change has to take place
be it for better or for worst
and often not by choice

However, to cope with change,
Its a matter of choice
in fact the "event" will remain the same,
but our "intepretation" varies

We asked ourselves,
"can i do this?"
when the truth is
"do i want to do this?"

Its at times like this,
that knowing god's purpose in our lives becomes essential
only then, can we embrace change with an open heart

Often, we expect others to change
but we fail to see that we need change as well

Changes appears to be the theme of the new year
instead of resisting change,
why not embrace it?
knowing it can only get better.
